All of Focusrite's FireWire products will work with Windows 7, however some will require the use of the Windows Legacy FireWire driver. How to install the Windows Legacy FireWire driver is outlined below, as is how to revert back to the standard Windows FireWire driver (for users of products that no longer require the Legacy driver). Saffire MixControl 3.0 users should not use the legacy Firewire driver. Please use the standard Windows Firewire driver.

Installing the Windows Legacy FireWire Driver
1. With your Focusrite FireWire device disconnected, find your FireWire (IEEE 1394) controller in Device Manager (START>CONTROL PANEL>SYSTEM>).
2. Click "Update driver"

3. Select "Browse my computer for driver software"
4. Click "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"
5. Install the driver that ends with "(Legacy)".

6. Reinstall the latest version of your device drivers from the
Focusrite website, and re-connect your device.

Reverting to the Standard Windows FireWire Driver
If you were previously using a Focusrite FireWire device with the Windows Legacy FireWire driver, and now need to update your FireWire driver, please follow these steps:
1. With your interface disconnected, find your FireWire (IEEE 1394) controller in Device Manager (START>CONTROL PANEL>SYSTEM>).
2. Click "Update driver"

3. Select "Search automatically for updated driver software"
4. When the Windows Driver Update has completed, install the latest control software from the
Focusrite website, and re-connect your device.
