Is the VRM Box compatible with USB 3.0 ports?

Many new Macs and Windows PCs feature USB 3.0 ports.

The VRM Box is a USB 1.1 device, and many USB 1.1 devices can have problems with USB 3.0. This is because the USB 3.0 specifications do not require USB 1.1 devices to be compatible.

We are attempting to address the USB 3.0 port issues as well as we can, and any releases that do address this issue will be available from beta.focusrite.com when they are ready.

In the meantime, it is highly recommended that VRM Box users, as well as users with any other USB 1.1 device, do not use USB 3.0 ports.

As always, any questions or concerns can be directed to our support team through the "Contact Us" link at the top of this page.
