Focusrite Control 2

Focusrite Control 2 has received a series of updates, including the introduction of MIDI control, improvements to Auto Gain and Loopback features, and the option to boost fixed line inputs for selected devices.

The Focusrite Control 2 update is now available for the following devices:

  • Scarlett 3rd Gen
  • Scarlett 4th Gen
  • ISA C8X
  • Clarett+ and Clarett USB
  • Scarlett 6i6, 18i8, and 18i20 2nd Gen

Owners of applicable devices can access the update via Focusrite Control 2.

What’s new?

  • Auto Gain target level and count in: Set the target level of the input signal during the Auto Gain process, and give performers time to prepare by using the new count-in feature. Applies to: Scarlett 2i2, 4i4, 16i16, 18i16, and 18i20 4th Gen; ISA C8X.

  • Loopback improvement: Three new Loopback modes give you more control over the audio sent to recording, communication, and streaming apps, without affecting your Direct Monitor mix. For apps that only use the first input channel, Scarlett 2i2 4th Gen owners can now combine inputs 1 and 2 together. Applies to: Scarlett Solo and 2i2 4th Gen.

  • Line input boost: Boost the fixed line inputs by 6 or 12dB for a higher recorded level, adjustable per channel in the Inputs view. Applies to: Scarlett 4i4, 16i16, and 18i16 4th Gen; ISA C8X.
