What is Capsule?
Capsule is an intuitive and innovative synthesis engine that concentrates its intricate sound design into eight easy-to-use macro controls, with the instruments playable via the Capsule plugin.
Under the hood, Capsule includes multiple types of oscillators, such as virtual analog, and a powerful sample playback engine.
Capsule’s sound libraries are collections of sounds including up to 64 instruments that have been meticulously crafted by sound designers. Each Capsule embodies a specific theme, enhancing the sonic palette of your tracks.
New Capsules are regularly added to the catalog and can be downloaded directly from the plugin interface or via the dedicated Capsule Portal desktop application.
Step back into the 80s
Recreate the retro sound of the 80s with Capsule’s Neon. Taking inspiration from the timeless sound of vintage synths, Neon dials into the iconic realms of synth-wave, new wave, industrial electronica, and avant-garde pop.
Build brassy chords, undulating basslines, and liquid-like pads; then stack your synth-driven sounds with chorus, flange, and delay to flood your music with beams of fluorescent light. Get ready to illuminate your tracks with 64 presets, custom-built to be expressive, playable, and easy to use.
“This month we’ve teamed up with Capsule to bring you a flavour of the 80s.” says Plug-in Collective Product Manager Jonathan Campbell.
“It’s a playable instrument in your DAW, taking massive inspiration from synth sounds from the 80s. It’s as easy as selecting a pre-set/instruments and using the macros to sculpt the sound. The macro knobs change per instrument, meaning you affect various parameters such as depth and modulation. It’s a lot of fun to use, steeped in nostalgia — and perfect for instantly getting that retro 80s sound on your tracks.”
Plug-in Collective members can download Capsule's Neon sound library for free from their Focusrite account from 14th April to 22nd June (4pm GMT). Access the 30-day free trial to have all the capsules at your disposal.
