Ausmusic T-Shirt Day

Focusrite joins Ausmusic T-Shirt Day – Friday 19th November 2021

Focusrite is delighted to add their fundraising team to Ausmusic T-Shirt Day, organised by music industry charity Support Act and supported by ARIA. Ausmusic T-Shirt Day is an annual day of fun and awareness to celebrate Australian music and raise urgently needed funds for music workers in crisis. This year it’s even more important, as the devastating impact of COVID-19 has prevented so many musicians from working.

Over the past 18 months, Support Act has committed $22.8m in the form of 10,000 crisis relief grants to music and live performing arts workers in need and provided mental health and wellbeing support to many thousands more through its mental health programs and Wellbeing Helpline.

A record number of Ausmusic T-Shirt Day ambassadors have backed this year’s campaign and include some of Aussie music’s biggest names including Jessica Mauboy, Jon Stevens, 5 Seconds of Summer, Amy Shark, Lime Cordiale and Neil Finn.

Music lovers can support the campaign by:

  1. Wearing a T-Shirt of your favourite artist or music festival on November 19 and donating to Focusrite’s Ausmusic team here: https://www.ausmusictshirtday.org.au/teams/focusrite
  2. Buy an Ausmusic T-Shirt from https://www.ausmusictshirtday.org.au/merch-partners
  3. Upload a photo to social media using the hashtag #ausmusictshirtday #Focusrite #WeAreFocusrite and tag @supportact, @triple_j and @aria_official

Support Act CEO, Clive Miller, says: “While there is now light at the end of the COVID tunnel, thanks to the massive uptake of vaccinations across Australia, there is still a long way to go before the music industry is operating at pre-pandemic levels.

“We know just how much the Australian community loves and misses their live music, which is why we are asking everyone with a passion for Australian music to get behind this year’s Ausmusic T-Shirt Day to help raise the funds we urgently need to continue providing our support services to music workers in crisis.”
